Welcome to Filling Blank Pages, and thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoy what you find here. My name is Becky Hagan. I’m an aspiring author and amateur photographer. Most importantly, I’m a stay at home Mom to my sweet son (Little Bear) and wife to my amazing husband (J). This is my story. The daily adventures that come with discovering and stumbling through life as a first time mom. This is a place for me to share my journey. I am also writing my first book. I believe in it and it’s message. I hope to find a publisher for it when I’m done. It’s early days now..but one day in the near future…

The most important things to know about me are that I’m from the South, I’m a crazy dog person, and I love my family more than anything in the world. I should warn you, I have a problem with oversharing. Particularly with pictures. My Canon 550D is my prized possession and I use it, a lot. My favorite subjects are, of course, Little Bear and our crazy dog, Rooney. I also spend a good bit of time at local shelters taking photos of dogs for their websites ( A good picture can make a big difference for a dog needing a forever home!).

I try to read as much as I can. No one ever tells you just how busy you’re going to be as a stay at home mom. Usually, by the time I get Little Bear to bed and I’ve managed to get some writing done, I’m too exhausted for anything other than sleep. But I do find the time to read the odd book, and I love to talk about them. I find books to be like old friends, no matter how long you’re away; whenever you come back you can always settle in to a comfy chair with a cup of tea and pick up right where you left off.

Writing is my release. Life gets stressful. When I need to relax I can grab one of the many blank journals I have lying around the house and jot down whatever first comes to mind. One day, when I’m old, I hope someone reads my journals and finds wisdom and guidance from them. Or at least gets a good laugh!
